This looks like I’m the fourth owner by my calculations - someone wrote 2.50 on the reverse in pencil.  Such thankfulness to whoever made that decision instead of using a pen. 
 

I’ll eventually clean it but it presents nice as is.  I appreciate your insight. Thanks!

4.5?  Looks better but that's quite a bit of wear on the spine

Apparent 4.5... looks nice, but some hits of blue & purple color touch on the spine and top edge.

If that's a tear on the back, I'd say 4.0, maybe 4.5. Still looks nice!

This concerns me

Would def want a closer look at that area on the front as it appears to be colour touched. Would be the difference between a blue/purple label, as I think the book hits 4.0-4.5 either way.

With respect, there's no need for a blacklight. You provided a nice clear pic of the middle spine, and these spine breaks clearly have color touch:

Great eye, good call.  I think I’ll still give it the going over with BL to see what’s what and how extensive.  Bummer.  I think I paid fourteen bucks for it, so I guess that’s fine.

Perhaps I provided poor photos initially, I’m learning things still.  
So I looked closely at the top of the cover, and the two spots were just small fold overs.  Black light not necessary, but I did run it up the spine and didn’t see any suspicious spots.
