How does CGC…… 0

How does CGC distinguish between a pedigree collection (ie: Northland)and a collection which mainly in the silver/Bronze age( ie: Mile high 2 )   I know what they have posted on their home page but there seems to be more to it. 
Is this new Panhandle collection a pedigree or collection ?

That’s my point. Seems like it is who brings the collection to market.
