Was just flipping through a copy of DD 140.  Gladiator gets tossed into a newsstand....

 

THE DD 140 has a cover date of 12/76

NOVA 3  11/76

TOD 51  12/76

 

Did Marvel pimp their wares within the actual story pages of other books as well?

I saw this when it first came out. Thought it was pretty cool. Never noticed it anywhere else though

I think I had picked them up at the same time I bought the Nova. I used to buy two of everything (Marvel) off the rack at Fred Meyers from ‘77 - ‘84.
