I didn't think it was possible, but this book actually made Cloak look like an interesting character!!?? impressive.

Very interesting indeed. But at the same time, why would he go to those kids? Seemed a little far fetched. I don't want to spoil the issue, but that element didn't work for me.

but he actually seemed to have some character in the dialogue....

Yeah, the dialog was spot on. I'd actually be interested in reading more adventures of C&D if Vaughan wrote it.

Excellent issue, I like Cloak's line to Spider Woman. "So it is true, the Avengers are back" I got back a sense of Marvel comic continuity for a second.

I have actually always liked C&D, but it is true that they were written very poorly so often that I had pretty much written them off until the Runaways ish..

Ditto, at one time I had a complete run of C&D. But I think I sold them all for about $5.00 total.

I thought it was because the kids would be invisible in Manhattan for all intents and purposes, unlike, say, a Spider-Man.
