I began using "Grendel” as an avatar (NES/Super NES) in the late 80s after reading John Gardner's novel of the same name. Around that time I also discovered Matt Wagner's Grendel.

Anyways, Grendel was always taken anywhere I went on this here internet. My solution was an amalgam, hence Grendelbo.

Thanks for asking. That's only part of my origin. Someday I'll relate the tale of my journey from a dying world, my orphanage following a back-alley robbery and how a gentle soul named Jerry Garcia taught me that weird is ok.

My handle is on the web too, just in a limited capacity.  It’s also my gamer tag.  Galen, if you recall, is the protagonist in the first dragon movie I ever saw…Dragonslayer.  The ‘130’ after that is the numerical designator of the aircraft I crewed on for 24 years…C-130 Hercules.

I don’t have a back story like yours.  I’m a product of the Matrix and at present my coffee tastes like chicken.  Although, I do have heightened senses over the average person, but I can’t climb walls or shoot webs out me arse. 🤣🤣🤣
