Giant-Size X-men #1 CGC 9.6 White pages. Smoking copy. I subbed it expecting a 9.8 (no, I'm not trying to pump the book, it's that nice) and if it doesn't sell, I'll resub it and wait for a Disney mutants movie announcement.

Hard to tell if it is a glare or some manufacture-related creasing. It’s an awesome copy anyway!
Above 9.6, however, we enter the realm of "quantic grades".

Lower the brightness setting on your scanner, it'll pump up the black

That small mark wouldn't keep it out of 9.8. It's from printing and less noticeable in hand. I've gotten many 9.8s on this issue and on square bounds they're not super strict on this sort of defect because the square binding creates all sorts of problems that a regular saddle stitch wouldn't.

I don't think anyone saw the boom coming that we had over the last two years. I know it wasn't that way for many people but I'm grateful and thankful that our hobby did well.

None of the books I sold are on that list. 

It is true though. The 1st 'million dollar sale' was the AF #15 CGC 9.6 a decade ago. Since then, MANY books have passed that threshold.
