Or maybe they messed up...or maybe it got popped during shipping. Or maybe it was popped and you missed? I know I have looked at a book before and the staples were there but when lifted the page they were not holding anything...despite looking clearly attached (plus the page was wedged in well and gave the illusion it was in place. The notation is "detached cover". Maybe it was closer to detaching than I thought when I was checking it?
