I think I'm seeing the same things that Point Five is, and if he was too harsh on #361, I may have been too loose!

There sure looks like a bend to me on the LLBC #238 that appears to go all the way through to the front. There's also some spine tics/creases i see on the back, to the right of the top of the Cobra box, and then above that near the bottom corner of the main ad illustration

Okay so I'm gonna show you 361 grading. Here was the finale grade for 361 I just received last week. I have side by side photo of another 361 i got back thats 9.8 from couple years ago. In my opinion think they were real quick to grade. Again Subjective but i find hard to believe when comparing the 2. Re the 9.0 #361, the white marks I saw on the back cover upper left corner are present on the 9.8 too, so scratch that idea... my bad. It's either part of the art or a production flaw and wouldn't count against the grade.

When I zoom into the 9.0 #361 front slab pic, I do see a hint of tear at the bottom staple, what looks like a small color tick (bend?) in the lower right corner, and a few gentle spine ticks. But I'm just throwing out guesses at this point. I agree with you that the book looks nicer than its given grade, but that's not unheard of.

You guys are pretty good. I'll hand it to you. Thought miswrap wouldnt count aginist grading though? Not 9.9 or 10 if perfect otherwise right?

That's correct; the miswrap has no effect on the grade.

Sure, fair enough.

Just curious: on the back cover of the #252, are these smudges on the book or on the case?

Maybe I'm seeing things but it looks like a small chip at the edge of the cover by the INTELLIVISION  just to the left of the yellow car also looks like some small spine ticks maybe 3 or 4??

This is the challenge of grading from digital images. The flaws that CGC may ding the most for -- non color breaking bends... thumb dents, etc -- don't show up in most photos and scans. The 361 obviously has some flaws that are not apparent in the photos.

Agreed, light spine and edge wear. Again, in broad strokes these are all nice books anyone would be happy to own. They just aren't "the very nicest of the nice", and it sounds like they were graded accordingly.

Here you guys go All 9.0 grades. You can say they were real consistent with this batch I received back. To answer the question. NO absolutely no grader notes. Here's your 9's thanks for your money. I'm sorry I can agree with 252 being even 9.2 but the 238 abd 361 shouldn't been lower than 9.4

Well, honestly I'm pleasantly surprised for you. 9.0 is... a good grade! They're nice books for sure but I wouldn't say they're literally flawless.

I already mentioned my thoughts on the #361's small flaws.

Is this not a soft corner crease/bend/impression on the back of the #238? If you tell me it's nothing I'll believe you, but I can see it (faintly) in both photos.
