bapowell
Hi All, One of my favorite silver age Iron Man covers. This book is in good shape, a couple light spine ticks and some general discoloration here and there (see photo of bottom right corner, FC, where it might be most noticeable). It almost resembles foxing, and I can't remove it with a gentle eraser. Also, there is some writing in pen on the BC. Thanks! Yes, it does appear that way, and is maybe 1 mm shorter than other Iron Man comics I own from the same timeframe. Man, that sucks.

Any idea what that means? Seems like they are saying it just came this way.
Get Marwood & I
It could be a production miscut. There's a lot more of the lady's shoe at the bottom than other copies online. And the positioning of the ad on the back also suggests that - more bottom, less top.

Readcomix
Look at all three exposed edges. Is the paper color comparable all around? Not a guarantee either way, but it can be indicative. Could certainly be trimmed but it looks well within the range of production miscut too.
bapowell
The top edge looks a bit darker than the leading or bottom edges. I've also compared it with an Iron Man 2, 18, an 22 and it's shorter (in the long direction) than all of them (though they are not all the same size, either). Not even the staples are in the same places on any two copies. It really was the wild west back then...
JohnT
This example from the Marvel database shows a massive difference from your copy at the top and very little difference at the bottom, judging by her foot. Whether this is due to trimming or a production anomaly is unclear. Other than that it's in the 8.0 range imo.
grendelbo
7.5 I don't believe it was trimmed. Thanks for posting.
Galen130
My first thought was that it's a bad production cut, but without the book in hand, it's hard to say. Otherwise, 7.0/7.5.
WoWitHurts
I think it is just miscut. Here is my copy for comparison. grendelbo and Funnybooks
