Can you help me get an idea on the grade of this beautiful copy of Out of the Shadows.  I have another one to post as well.

Oh yep, that's a pretty one. Seems like there is some cracking along the spine... I don't recommend that you open the cover too far, but offhand do you think there's any spine splitting going on there?

Just opened the book and looked at the spine and the spine is intact with no splitting.

Great! 8.0 or thereabouts, I'd imagine.

The limiting feature on "really nice looking" Atomic Age books is often the state of preservation of the inside front/back covers.  Are they white?  Off-white?  Cream?  Is there a darker oxidation halo?  It's something that should always be checked and accounted for.

That is good to know for the future.  Here are pictures of the inside of the front and back covers.

Beautiful book. 8.0 at least but if you want to risk press and clean I think higher.

Very nice!    To my eye, the inside covers look off-white, with a light cream halo on the inside back cover.  I believe CGC would probably regard this degree of toning as slight -- certainly nothing severe enough to disqualify the book from receiving any of the previously mentioned grades.  Clean, bright, and tight!  A beautiful copy!
