Question on Maus 1 1

Given the sudden renewed interest in this title, I wonder if some of the well informed boardies could offer some insight.

Was it the First or was it the ONLY comic book to recieve a Pulitzer?

Was the Graphic Novel the premiere or was it a back-up story somewhere else first?

If I want to get the full run what order does the story go in?

Maus is the only comic to have won a Pulitzer Prize, though they also give an annual prize (most years) for editorial cartooning.

To the best of my knowledge, the first appearance of Maus is in Raw Volume 1 Number 2 from 1980. Most chapters of Maus (except the final one) were printed in editions of Raw between 1980 and 1991.

You're both right.  There was a three page MAUS story by Spiegelman in Funny Aminals, but it is not part of the collected story.  That began in RAW.  There is also a short non-MAUS story in Short Order Comix that was incorporated into the collected story.

The Funny Aminal story was reprinted in Marvel's Comix Book 2 a couple years after its original appearance; if anybody wants to track the story down to see it that would be much easier to find and afford in my experience.
