Yes, The lineup presented before/around BvS looked quite good.

Kevin Feige will be the notable difference between the MCU and DCEU. He had a plan, stuck to it, and rarely changed it. WB throws darts at a wall every Friday to decide whether or not the wind is blowing a new/different direction.

It was previously announced that Black Adam and Rampage co-scribe Adam Sztykiel is making his directorial debut on the popular DC comics IP off a -script he wrote. Production is set to begin this summer in Atlanta. Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey’s Temple Hill are producing.

 

Apa is well known for playing Archie on the CW/WBTV series Riverdale. His feature credits include the movies Songbird, The Hate U Give, A Dog’s Purpose, and I Still Believe. He is repped by UTA, Matt Luber and Jackoway Austen Tyerman. May plays Elsa Dutton on Paramount+’s Yellowstone prequel series 1883. Her series credits include Alexa & Katie and Young Sheldon. She is managed by Leanne Coronel, lawyer is Patty Felker.

EXCLUSIVE: The Wonder Twins movie at DC and Warner Bros-Discovery has been canceled before production starts. That Hashtag Show has received exclusive details from production that the film will not be happening. We’ve been told the crew received word this week that the film was scrapped. It was announced earlier this year with director Adam Sztykiel on board to write and direct. KJ Apa and Isabel May were set to play Zan and Jayna in the film.

 

The property hasn’t seen a live-action adaptation in movies but has plenty of cartoon and animated appearances over the years. It was set to start production in Atlanta, GA on July 5th, 2022. The film was casting for a variety of characters including the villains of the film, but now that appears to have changed. There’s no word on why the film has been canceled, but the Warner Bros-Discovery merger has dampened and changed a lot of the plans that were in place before the merger.

 

This is an incredibly surprising decision, especially since the movie was just announced and about to go into production. It is really unfortunate for the hard work that pre-production has put into the film.

 

DC still has plenty of films scheduled like The Flash, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Batgirl, and more.
