In the 1960's, the comicbook industry was in a bad way and dropping rapidly lower. Rumor has it that Stan Lee himself almost quit (could you imagine if that actually happened!)
But! Marvel did the best thing they ever could have and handed Stan the reigns to let him take one last shot at turning the industry around before it colapses.

Arming himslef with Jack Kirby at his side, the 2 created a comicbook series that saved the industry.

The Fantastic Four was this series being released in November of 1961!!!
Without this comicbook being released superheroes may not have been what we know them as today...

This story is why I went on the journey I did, purchasing a set of FF #1 - # 20 comics and having them all signed by Stan Lee! 11 of these are the highest grade SS with Stans Signature in the world!

This journey spanded over 7 years for us collecting and getting Stan to sign them before the great man himself passed away. But now unfortunately the time has come to sell, so my brother in law and I have put all these beauties up for auction in the latest Comic Connect auction.

A significant piece of history going up for auction here and who ever wins these will not just be winning an amazing comicbook, they will be winning a piece of comicbook history.
