I'm wondering though in particular how you all think the small stains across the title (2nd pic) will affect the grade. Thanks for looking! marvelmaniac Posted March 31, 2022 Share Posted March 31, 2022 My eyes are not the greatest, I do not see the stains you are referring to in the title, however... I do see... Minor edge and corner wear with some color rub/color break, creasing w/color break at the lower right corner and along the top and outer edge, minor spine stress with a few spine ticks that break color, lower staple not centered. In your 3rd pic it appears there is tape over the lower staple, is this correct? If there is no tape on the lower staple FN/VF 7.0, if there is tape on the lower staple I would think you would drop to a FN 6.0. 7.0 FINE/VERY FINE (FN/VF): Back to TopAn above-average copy that shows minor wear but is still relatively flat and clean with outstanding eye appeal. A small accumulation of minor bindery/printing defects is allowed. Minor cover wear beginning to show, possibly including minor creases. Corners may be blunted. Inks are generally bright with a moderate reduction in reflectivity. Stamped or inked arrival dates may be present. Minor foxing. The slightest spine roll may be present, as well as a possible moderate color break. Staples may show some discoloration. Slight staple tears and a small accumulation of light stress lines may be present. Slight rust migration. Paper is cream to tan. Centerfold is mostly secure. It looks like maybe somebody spilled something rather than just foxing or other discoloration..fairly light .. I’m gonna say 6.5 but not real confident. LowGradeBronze Posted April 2, 2022 Share Posted April 2, 2022 Fits the bill for a 7.0 in my estimate but the tiny stains in the 'Marvel' area may drop it very slightly.
