Spine damage on upper and lower corners.

Front cover: Edge wear, especially on bottom. Small corner creases on bottom right. Larger crease on top right corner.

Back cover: Edge wear, especially on top. Stains near spine. Something stuck to cover between coupon and spine. Pieces missing from bottom left and top right corners.

This is a nice looking book to me .. Obviously it has a chunk out, I’m not sure it can get a 4.5 because of that. But that’s the grade I’m assigning and not real sure but that’s why I’m here to learn from my biases

Square bound book in that condition, dang that’s pretty good. I say 4.5 regardless of the chunk out.

front wrap presents well but those pieces out may cap the grade

I'll go 3.5 because of the sweet front wrap

Agreed.  Looks like some bug chew going on in some of those spots.

I have this at a 4.0. It's an odd copy --- the main defects showing are clear, and yet the book as a whole is otherwise really nice, lies flat, etc. Funny that the defects are so isolated. Thanks for sharing

4.0 was my first thought too... maybe 3.5 at absolute worst. The pieces out are a big hit, no question, but the eye appeal is super! That's gotta count for something.
