PGM Super-Villain Team-Up 1 2 2

Got this back from CGC around August of last year.  had 9 other comics graded also. With the upcoming grading contest I was thinking of posting them here so anyone who wants to can guess the grade.

I will provide grader notes of defect/defects that cannot be seen by photo's. On this one it says "light bends to cover"

Looks like foxing along the top of the back cover. 6.5 to 7.0.

The other two notes are these "light spine stress lines to cover" and "light creasing to cover" 

graded in  6.0 = 8, in higher grades = 382

I was a bit disappointed in the grade it was given. I was thinking it was in the range of 7.0/7.5

Are "light spine stress lines to cover" and "light creasing to cover" two different defects? I thought a crease was a color breaking fold.

Yes, "light spine stress lines to cover" and "light creasing to cover" are two different defects. The first arising from the spine having been bent while the second could occur anywhere else on the cover. Not all creases break colour. Depends on how severe the bend was that gave rise to the crease. Many spine creases will end up breaking colour though, because the pages bunch up tight on the spine when it's bent.

Practice with something like a car magazine. See what damage results from different kinds of handling. Then put it back on the shelf and say "No thanks, just looking...." and walk out the shop.
