Hey, about to send my first submission to CGC, and I was given a customer number.
It says I'll need it for submissions, what do I do with it?
Keep it saved in my notes?
Write it down and send it with the book?

It's used with on your submissions.  Somewhere on the submission form they usually ask for your customer number.  This number can be found in your CGC profile.  (Go to MyCGC => My Account => Account Info)

It was already on my form so I guess I didn't need to put it anywhere.
