Submitting "Birthday" Pikachu with name written on it 1 1

I have a bunch of "Birthday" Pikachu cards, _______'s Pikachu, from the Celebration set. I want to use them as they were intended; write the name of the person on it. And than submit them for grading. This to give my nephews all a personal and long lasting gift.

Can I submit them like this, and if so what do I have to do in the submitting process to make it go as smooth as possible?

You can certainly do that, but the grades will be very negatively affected. They would likely all grade 3 with a surface grade of 2. As far as the submitting process, here is a link.

The most important thing is to have the cards encased and be a long lasting gift. The grade doesn't matter that much.

Ask to have it graded as Authentic  (you get an A instead of a number grade)  Giving a kid a card graded a 3 would be a sucky gift once they get older and realize it is considered junk.....
