"Staple replacement" Conserved or Qualified 0

Hi CGC,

I've got a submission coming back to me.

One comic has "replaced staples" and got a "Conserved" label (which I think is appropriate, and is what I wanted).

Another comic has "replaced staples" and got a "Qualified" label.  I don't understand?  Why didn't the second comic get a "Conserved" label too?  Conserved is much more desirable in my eyes.

Good morning,

Thank you for your message.  Both books do state that the staples have been replaced.  However, on Red Seal Comics #20, it also states there is tape present on the bottom of the interior spine.  Tape cannot be present on conserved books so, in this case, that pushes the staple replacement from conserved to qualified.
