Eleven pounds of SA goodness.

Unlike my Spidey, Amazon delivered this intact. It was double wrapped in shrink wrap. I guess my Spider-Man book was a return because this book is triple shrink wrapped while Spider-Man had a single wrap.

I'm pretty sure they are glued. I had to put the book away after a few minutes as the new comic smell was overpowering. The ink seems like it isn't fully dry yet.  Even closed and in the outer box, you can still smell it.

I'm really tempted to pick this up, but I'm not sure if I can afford the book AND the number of servants I'd need to hold it up so I could read it. If you think an omnibus is a wrist-breaker...whoo boy!

I had that enormous Taschen DC book from a few years back, the one that came in a veritable suitcase. Had to just lean it up against the wall, had no place else to put it! I do love these things, but man alive, how much bigger can we go?

If it's a glued binding, that may be the ultimate deal breaker. I just don't see something that enormous staying in one piece after reading it, unless it's sewn. 

Thanks much for the pics. They definitely have me tempted. Maybe they'll hang around long enough that I can ask Santa for a copy...
