@Galen130is right. A post like this is better suited for the Grading and Restoration Questions forum.

But, on an otherwise perfect book, that writing (and I'd call it light and fairly inconspicuous), would probably drop it into the VF range. The writing medium will matter. Pencil < Pen < Grease Marker < Marker. It wouldn't matter at all in the FN range. You'll typically see more books with writing like this graded at 7.0-7.5.

The writing appears to be in pencil. Here's an example of a high grade book with pencil writing on the cover.

Overstreet will tell you a 4.0 is the best grade this book could receive. But CGC is different.
