Winnipeg X-Men # 1 in eBay store

Its graded (raw) as a 9.2. Anyone know if this book has ever been certified? If its passed through any hands here, could you comment on whether the assigned grade is accurate or not? Thanks.

George, I went back to the original Showcase listing of the book, and Greenhalgh (never known as a tight grader, to say the least) graded the book as a VF++. Since it lacks the OO siggy on the top of the front cover, I would presume there is wear on the book - from the other WP books I've seen, I'd guess it may have a rough top edge overhang that can't be seen from the poor scan the E-Bay seller provided. The mention by the current seller of slightly rusted staples may be problematic, also.

 

This book must have certainly been certified at one time, and I'd bet the certifier was disappointed with the assigned grade. Whether this is so or not, it seems that $15K may be a wee bit of a stretch.

Many thanks for the info. I was going to be in Orlando next week and was debating whether the book was worth looking at. Now, I think I can pass without regret.
