ASM #70 artist question

5 posts in this topic

I just finished reading ASM # 70 and notice that the credits list John Romita as "innovator" and Jim Mooney as "illustrator".

I never noticed this before. Excuse my ignorance but what exactly does an "innovator" do? Something to do with storyboards?

Thanks

either Romita was roo busy and just did quick layouts...

or Mooney filled in for Romita and copied Romitas then house Spidey style, hence the innovator of it.

Or Stan snuck over to see Virginia while Romita worked late at the office and Stan felt guilty and gave him a credit on a book he never worked on!

I think thats it!
