ON NEWSSTANDS NOVEMBER 1958

For November Jack Kirby did a story for Tales of Suspense #2 (Steve Ditko cover), writing it and penciling it (Christopher Rule inks). It's another story that reads exactly as the work he was doing for DC, that Marvel would later claim was a Stan lee plot with a Larry Lieber -script. Reading all of these stories one after the other, its easy to see this is pure Kirby.

For November Jack Kirby also did a story for World of Fantasy #16 (Carl Burgos, Bob Forgione cover), writing it and penciling it (Christopher Rule inks). Again, It's another story that reads exactly as the work he was doing for DC, that Marvel would later claim was a Stan Lee plot with a Larry Lieber -script. It's not as Kirby-esque as some of the others (though there are plenty of those elements here), but without a Stan Lee signature it's highly doubtful he had anything to do with it.

Odds are he was extremely cautious not to offend Jack (and unnecessarily claiming undue credit this early on would've done it), who he was probably grateful to for convincing Goodman to keep Atlas up and running.

For November Steve Ditko did a story for World of Fantasy #16. Writer unknown. Of course, again, in hindsight Marvel tried to credit Lee with the story in Marvel Masters of Suspense Omnibus.

At the time, I imagine that Stanley was focused on just keep his couple of titles going and was happy letting the creative talent breath some life into the line.

For November Steve Ditko did the cover and a story for Strange Worlds #2. Writer unknown. Of course, again, in hindsight Marvel tried to credit Lee with the story in Marvel Masters of Suspense Omnibus, but he didn't sign it, so it was written by someone else.
