Hello -

I had my nephew drop off comics to get graded at a convention.

He said that he was given nothing after the drop off to prove that they were handed over.

Is this normal? They couldn't scan that upc code on the printout ?

Do I just sit and wait and hope for the best now?

thnx

Did you fill out the forms online first?

If so then no

if he filled out all the forms on the spot then yes

but contact Cgc to confirm or file a complaint

When CGC was first grading books and accepting submissions at shows, it was a much less formal affair and many a forumite would gather around their booths, just to BS. At one show, the CGC crew had already closed up for the day, with the show officially closed. Myself, and a few forumites- I believe Foolkiller was there and maybe Gene, DAM60 and one or two others  are sitting at the now empty CGC table when a dealer walks over and drops off a short box of early New X-Men. When we tell him we can't accept his submissions he actually argued with us. It took us several minutes to convince him it wasn't an issue with his paperwork, which evidently had been rejected earlier. While this was going on, another dealer came by with a GA Captain America and was asking about submitting it.
