I'll get a Round 1 Results thread up shortly. I can say that there were *no triple bullseyes*, and only six double bullseyes. So no one has pulled way ahead, and if you missed a few there's plenty of game left to make up ground.

A nice mid-grade book, brought down by that odd horizontal crease and the stain on the back. 5.0 was my guess too. 
 

 

Weren't the other Tec 359s from your last contest also 5.0s?

(I would've selected another 5.0 too.)

I was hoping for a 6.0 on this one, but didn't quite get it. There's a small spine tear towards the bottom (not mentioned in the laundry list of grader notes) and I wonder if that was a factor. Nice bright flat book.

This book looks exactly like a 5.5 EC I have. I didn't think this one over at all.

This one too came in just shy of the 8.0 I was hoping for. The crease mentioned in the notes was a real surprise to me... but the spine and staple areas were so crisp, I wouldn't have risked a press anyway. Ah well! Real pretty book.

At 7.0 I thought I was grading it too high. Not high enough I guess. The grader's notes threw me a little - trying to figure out that center, almost imperceptible crease.

 

(Camping trip was cancelled as my son's sick. Margarita's are flowing and I got a fire going in the backyard fire pit.)
