PGM TMNT Vol 1 #62 (scans)

Got this for what I thought was a decent price and the pics looked good - curious to see what others would grade it at (I actually did try to clean my scanner but I need some Windex or something - the white marks on the cover are dust/debris on the scanner bed, not the book, sorry):

From what I understand the white marks running vertically on the spine are a production flaw from the harder cover stock being folded at the time of printing, if this is correct then CGC will not deduct for this.

I will not grade any book over a NM 9.4 without having the book in front of me and "assuming" the above statement to be correct...

9.4 NEAR MINT (NM):  Back to Top
Nearly perfect with only minor imperfections that keep it from the next higher grade. Subtle bindery/printing defects are allowed. Bindery tears must be less than 1/16" on Silver Age and later books, although on Golden Age books bindery tears of up to 1/4" have been noted. Cover is flat with no surface wear. Inks are bright with high reflectivity and a minimum of fading. Corners are cut square and sharp with ever-so-slight blunting permitted. A 1/16" bend is permitted with no color break. Small, inconspicuous, lightly penciled, stamped or inked arrival dates are acceptable as long as they are in an unobtrusive location. Slight foxing. Spine is tight and flat. Staples are generally centered; may have slight discoloration. Almost no stress lines. Paper is off-white to cream, supple and fresh. Slight interior tears are allowed.

IDK this book in particular, but this was a point of discussion with my CGC dealer about a copy of Heir to the Empire 1, and he indicated that the act of reading these harder stock books made the white ?fraying? worse and at some point it would be considered beyond production. I agree with a >9.2 grade and the impossibility of being more accurate from photos with high grade books
