CGC Signature Series Opportunities - NYC National Nov.18-20

34 posts in this topic

This coming weekend's Big Apple National Convention in New York City provides fans with another excellent opportunity to submit their books for the prestigious Signature Series label!

If you are interested, come and see me (Kevin Boyd) upstairs at the CGC Submissions Returns Center and register your books in advance for a Signature Series signing. I'll be there all weekend to answer your questions and take your Signature Series requests - REMEMBER: The earlier you come by the better your chance of getting the book done will be.

Also keep in mind that on-site Signature Series requests will be limited by time and the availability of creators.

WATCH THIS THREAD FOR A SPECIAL SIGNING EVENT AT THE CGC BOOTH BY A CREATOR NOT OFFICIALLY LISTED AS A GUEST FOR THE NATIONAL!

Dealers who will be taking submissions in advance for this event:

PARADISE COMICS paradisecomics@on.aibn.com

Peter will be leaving for NY on Thursday, November 17. If you want your books included please contact him before Wednesday, November 16th.

------

This list offers some excellent opportunities to obtain signatures from some of the most renowned independant and underground creators.

As Peter is fond of pointing out to me, Cerebus #1 is currently the most valuable bronze age key - Cerebus creator Dave Sim will be available to signing and sketching most of Friday and Saturday.

I've not included actors on this list, but actors with connections to comics can sign comic books for Signature Series submissions (for example Carrie Fisher can sign Star Wars comics) - please keep in mind that actors usually charge an additional signing fee. Submitters will be responsible for paying the celebrity signing fee.

CGC is Proud to Present Jimmy Palmiotti at the CGC Booth in New York at the National

Superstar writer and artist Jimmy Palmiotti (Jonah Hex, Hawkman, JSA Classified) will be doing a special CGC Signature Series signing at the CGC booth this weekend at the Big Apple National Convention in New York City on Saturday, November 19th from 2PM to 4PM to celebrate the release of Jonah Hex #1, published by DC Comics and written by Palmiotti and Justin Gray, with art by Luke Ross. The signing will take place upstairs at the CGC onsite returns booth.

A CGC Representative will be on hand to witness the signing. All signed comics can be submitted that day to CGC for the prestigious CGC Signature Series label – the hobby’s only 100% authenticated signature! Check the CGC Booth for more details.

Drop by the CGC booth anytime over the weekend to inquire as to how you can get comic books signed at the National submitted for the prestigious CGC Signature Series label. Make sure to check with CGC before you get your books signed.
