PGM X-Men #99 w/ Tan/ Dust Shadow...or is it Foxing? 1 1

Hello, I could use some help grading my X-men #99 please.

There seems to be darkening areas mostly around the bottom edges.

Is this tanning or a dust shadow or is that the same thing?  Or is it foxing?

It would help me to know how much this affects the grade.  With and without this defect.

I always personally called this tanning (foxing is more splotchy brown and yellow dots)

As for a grade, I have an ASM #23 with similar edge tanning and the rest of the book is sharp otherwise. My book got a 7.0 so I would assume this to be in similar range, 7.0-7.5

Page quality appears otherwise very good so this detracts just a small amount to my eye. A handsome copy I would consider a 7.0

Concur on tanning, which is just one of those defects CGC seems committed to penalizing heavily. 7s seems about the best you can hope for.

I was just looking at how the Overstreet grading guide 6th edition notes paper quality.

8.5 says cream supple, then 8.0 goes to "tan to cream supple".

So would the 8.0 grade allow some tanning?

It's tanning which is different than a dust/sun shadow and foxing.
