Most of the pulps in the two auctions were very nice grades.  For the most part, the prices were very strong!   As October pointed out the Batwoman went for $13,000 and the first conan went for $14,000.  First part of Red Nails went for $2,000.  The general thoughts around the dealers room was folks were banking on when CGC starts slabbing pulps.

Now that they are bringing 5 figure prices, probably not long…

Were you there asking Terry about Wheel covers -- acknowledging the Weird Tales on his wall but looking for others?

Ahhh, maybe that was him I saw while at Terry's booth then. Wouldn't mind a nice Suicide Chapel myself, though Terry's copy was out of my price range.

I just bought what I liked and kept to a pretty modest budget. I'm sure I made some bad purchases, or overlooked trimming or restoration I don't know how to look for. But, overall, I had a lot of fun.

I like your taste in pulps!  I think we'll see a similar push for cover-centered collecting on pulps, much like comics have gone through with the advent of CGC.  But as others have said, content will still be a big factor for the keys like Lovecraft, Howard, ERB, etc.

This event is awesome mainly pulps;comics and paperbacks with an old time feel to it.The auction nights have some incredible stuff in them and i like not having to push a key pad to win something.I give a big shout out to the guys who run this and for the hard work they put in.The only bad thing was Randall Dowling not being there with all those crazy high grade horror magazines.I look forward to this highlight show next year it was a great one ^^
