scburdet Posted January 31, 2023 Share Posted January 31, 2023 I maintain of "want list" on CPG that is at least 50% me just tagging interesting books when I learn about them. I was cleaning up the list the other day & re-discovered a tag, with no recollection why I had singled out a French metal magazine since the CPG site didn't have a cover photo. Long story short, I read about this somewhere around the time The Rise of Skywalker came out b/c it has, like the movie, C3PO with red eyes on the cover. An ebay search, $15 inc. shipping, and 3 or so weeks waiting for mail from France later, I have a copy. I don't see any C3PO inside, so just the cover. I did find a Steranko story called "Outland' inside. The story also appeared in Heavy Metal magazine around the same time in 1981. Not sure about the connection between the magazines. A lot of overlap, but also looks like they're published independently? Nice shape. A small spine split at the bottom corner. Interested in the grade, although this is high on the novelty of ownership list rather than a serious grading candidate.
