Thoughts on PVC w/ cloth outter lining newer storage Short Boxes 1 1

Anyone have thoughts on these newer boxes.  I tdon't think theyre quite air tight which i think is good for breathability.  But I also heard they have big odors and chemical smells which I wonder if the polyvinyl chloride from box/ Nylon smells can be bad for expensive older comics?  I have many ungraded 'raw' books that i was planning to store in these

comics can absorb smells, just take a whiff of a comic that was in a cigarette users home (yuck!)

Not sure I see the benefit of these boxes over a regular cardboard box version.

They don't look very strong. Can you stack them several high?

I don't think you can stack them more than 2 maybe 3 high.  They have plastic inside the cloth.  It's about as strong as cardboard. Maybe slightly stronger
