Comic Cavalcade #18, CGC 5.0 C/OW,  1946/7 Old Label, Thanksgiving Cover. 26 copies total on the census.

I've never opened an old label book, but I've heard they were harsh on page quality, the parts I can see on the edges appear to me, to be much lighter than the page quality on the slab.

Last non pedigree sale appears to be 2 years ago.

The only sale on GPA within the last 10 years was the Promise copy. There was a raw 3.5 sold on Heritage 3 years ago.

Detective #76, CGC 5.0 Slight (B-1) White pages. 1943, JOKER cover. 89 total on the census.

A 4.0 with a detached cover and OW/W pages, sold last week for $2250.00. Most of the very minor work on this copy was A-1, with only the small amount of color on the cover is B-1. That means the resto most probably could be removed by a professional if you choose. Personally I thought it was lovely as is...but that's up to the next person.

Flash Comics #34, CGC 2.5 C/OW, 1942, Cover detached.  There are only 11 blue copies on the Census, plus one other for a total of 12.

War cover...no recent sales in lower grades. I submitted the book and it has not been cleaned nor pressed.

OK, I usually don't do so few books a night, but I'm in the middle of a town/ neighborhood building drama, company  and probably 6 other things, including laundry...but I'm  going to give you a hint for tomorrow.

The books after the first one, start with M, there are 2 Timelys and 2 EC's and a Fox.

and Sunday Night will have a SCI FI GGA theme...so tomorrow, same Bat time, etc;)

I say payment is due in 7 days to protect myself against someone taking a book and disappearing, but I do take time payments if they are reasonable and you can put 10% down.The 10% is not refundable if you change your mind before completing the payments. Yes, I know this is not technically GA, but it is a 10-cent issue, is one of the few Katy Keene books I kept (because people were admiring her pose) and I hope no one minds that I added it.

When I had the book slabbed, I believe it was the only copy...it was definitely the highest copy. It's now tied for 2nd. The copy that sold recently has cream/ow pages and a partially detached staple.

I did not have this book cleaned or pressed, it's from the Bakerstown warehouse find, so there is a bit of history here. When I bought it, it was the only copy they had (I used to go in person to look through the warehouse). While there were stacks of some books, many were single issues. So the color is great because she sat in the dark for most of her life. The notes mention light foxing, I don't see any...but maybe there is a hint of something I've missed.

I have very few if any books if any left from Bakerstown  @Azkaban

Marvel Mystery Comics #68, OW/W Timely 1946. Schomburg Cover. There are 60 blue copies on the census, 64 total.
This is a nice looking comic for the grade, that's because the cover and centerfold are detached. I had the book slabbed and it was not cleaned nor pressed at the time I slabbed it (and I doubt it was before).

Moon Girl and the Prince,, CGC 4.5 C/OW, EC publications, 1947. 49 blue copies on the Census, 54, total. 

Moon Girl is EC's, first and I believe only Super Hero. This is the first issue, her origin is here. Later issues change to the title "Moon Girl".

This book was from the Evelyn Collection.

Mystic Comics #2 (1st series) ,Sold to DocHoppus182

Timely publications. CGC 2.5 Slight (c-1) 4/1940. There are 26 on the census, 19 are blue.

Alex Schomburg Bondage Cover and it's an EARLY Schomburg. I think his first was Daring #1 published 3 months before. 

The notes say that there is a small amount of color touch and tape. I had the book slabbed, if there was paint, it was probably very small. This is one of the books from the Evelyn Collection. Her husband, the original collector of the books, was an engineer and amateur artist. I know he did some color touch a long time ago. I've owned quite a few of the books, it seems he used water based paint, so it's possible that the paint and tape could be removed, but I was fine with it the way it is.

I based the price on a sale of a blue label 2.5 in 2022, that book had extra staples and tape inside and out, it also sold a year ago so I raised this one 15%.

In any case...the Bin is $2990 and my price on this one is firm.
