No hidden defects I'm aware of. It's obviously not in great shape. I scraped some stuff off Batman's mouth in the logo. Staples are popped I guess. Overall dry, fragile feeling, hence the small section of page scanned.

I see. You said popped staples, that's what I usually call detached staples. Did you mean replaced staples?

I provided pictures of the staples. Was going by something like this:

Popped Staple

When one side of a cover has torn right next to the staple, but is still attached by the slip of paper beneath the staple. If not handled carefully, a popped staple can lead to a detached staple.

It's possible it's not the right term.
