  1. Thanks. Even with the stuff on the face on lower left BC?
  2. I don't think there are staple tears. It's just creases. Here's what it looks like from the inside. I don't think the paper is actually pierced. What do you think?
  3. So I found this book in my childhood box, and it was, uh, well-loved. The cover was very wrinkled and I thought it would be worthless so I decided to practice on it. I put it in a humidity chamber and pressed it a few times, and I think this is as good as it's going to get. There are still some crease remnants that you can see when you look at the gloss from an angle. (Kind of hard to photograph.) Several spine stresses as well.
  4. Thanks. I don't think much of the dirt will come off with normal cleaning, unfortunately.
  5. Thanks. Did you mean "stain" or is spoon a term I'm not familiar with?
  6. There's an indentation near Spider-Man's head. Invisible except with the right glare.
  7. My main concern with this one is that there are two spots where the gloss is broken. I'm not sure if they are considered stains or something else. The one near the UPC is slightly raised, the one near Colossus is fairly flat. The raised one will probably press out but I haven't really tried. I think it's a good practice to put grades in spoiler tags so as not to influence others, but I'm grateful for any input in any case.
  8. The scuff mark on the right edge of FC is a tear, just under a quarter of an inch. Please use the spoiler tag (the eye on the toolbar) for grades to not influence others' opinions.
  9. Thanks for the reply. I have been pressing books myself for a while, and I have done miswrap corrections before. I'm certain that it's easily correctable. It's not rocket science. I'm just wondering if it's worth the effort in terms of grade/value since CGC often overlooks miswrapping but some collectors dislike it. Do you have an opinion on that?
  10. I have a copy of Marvel Premiere #2 and the staples are on the front. Is it worth it to flatten it out and press the spine where it should be, or does it not matter?
