The line to get in is massive! Got here at 10:30 and had to walk halfway across the casino to wait in line  lol

A lot of people walking around, but not a lot of people doing much buying, a lot of dealers I spoke to are getting a lot of low ball offers. Someone even asked a dealer if they bought 10 $1 dollar books if he could get a discount.

To be fair, there was a few dealers at the show offering three free $1 books for each ten $1 books purchased.  So, purchase twenty $1 books and get six free!

Make friends with the dealers

It ended up moving pretty quick as it was mostly getting through security and backlog with all the cosplay costume checks.

I saw a fair amount of that and a good amount of tire kicking. I found the dealers there receptive to respectful offers and thought there was a decent amount of inventory at reasonable prices. I was able to negotiate some bulk purchase discounts from 15-30% off ask so I'm pretty happy with my day. My focus was late silver/early bronze with some Byrne FF thrown in. I wasn't in the market for any major books or slabs but there were plenty of options it seemed.

What really cracks me up is when people come to the table and say "Hey, I'm looking for XYZ, Do you have it?   I'll say, yeah, it's right here"   Ok thanks, I'll pass.  I wonder if they walk into their local supermarket, ask customer service, hey, I'm looking for a gallon of milk and they say "Yeah it's in the back, Do they say, Ok thanks I'll pass  (shrug)

Bought some art and some foreign comics. There were far fewer comic dealers than other general merchandise dealers though.

Agreed.

however, if you collect ASM, this was a great show for you to fill in some back issue gaps.

I saw more ASM 1’s, 14’s, 100’s, 129’s, and 238’s at this show compared with HeroesCon.  I also found prices were generally more affordable than HeroesCon, except for the fella asking $15K for the ASM 129 in CGC 9.6.  He had this book priced the same at last year’s show…guess he’s willing to wait a loooooong time to get his price 🤣
