Out Of Order, Popular Library 25

A bit nicer, with minor general wear, insides clean but tanned.
Square and flat enough, but there are a couple odd little indentations in the BC, should be visible in the scan.

Asking $10

Murder In Season, Popular Library 74

Not *quite* as nice as the last book, but still solid. Some minor creasing. Bright colors, clean interior.
Flat and square, pretty glossy.

Asking $10

Murder In Season, Popular Library 74 is SOLD!

Thanks PK!

And according to my list, I have the other three Populars. I would’ve sworn “no” to at least one of them, maybe two. I guess that’s why as people get older they finally get around to making a list.

Meanwhile Back At The Morgue, Gold Medal 1024
If this Mike Avallone is the same as the Michael Avallone that wrote some of the UNCLE novels,
then he writes a pretty good stick.

Spine cocked a bit, touch of general wear, and I suspect a glue repair upper spine.
Tight, clean interior, nice gloss.

Asking $10

Darling, This Is Death, Handi-Book 51

This one is the same height as the standard "short" 50's paperbacks, but it's a solid half inch wider.
Seems to be the standard for Handi-Books,  they all seem to run wide.

General wear, a whiff of foxing upper edge. Tight and square enough, bright colors, bit of gloss, clean interior.

Asking $5

The Corpse That Spoke, Bart House 14

By far the best of the three Bart House books in this thread.
Flat and square, clean interior. Small dogear lower RH FC, a couple odd little indentations BC, interior is yellowed a bit.

Very solid copy fopr $20

CORPSETHATSPOKEA.jpg

It’s not a Bart House, but a Hangman’s House. There can’t be more than a couple dozen titles overall, and at first they were digests before switching later in the run to paperbacks. A lot of nice atmospheric covers.  :cloud9:

Kiss Me, Deadly, Signet 1000
Early Mickey Spillane Mike Hammer novel, 1953, stated first print.

Light crease lower RH FC is the worst of it, otherwise clean and square, glossy, clean interior. Bit of ink missing upper RH FC,
small crease lower LH BC.

I want $15  for this one.  SOLD!

G'morning! A handful of Early Birds today for you hard working coffee drinkers!

Another goodly stack this evening, starting between 7 and 8 or thereabouts.

Starting out with one of the titles I mentioned last evening.

The Golden Amazon, Harlequin 218
So, I was quite surprised when I found out that, early on, Harlequin published stuff other than romance.
I eventually ran across a hockey novel in the wild, bought this title from a comic dealer of all people, the only copy I've seen.

Flat, tight, clean, square, nice gloss and color, interior untouched, but alas, foxing on the back cover.

Asking $125
