Tom Ba
I have some 10c MR. Tracy comics that are in pretty good shape but aren't keys, are they worth getting graded? They all have low pop counts on CGC pop report. Thanks.

Worth is a highly subjective term when it comes to activities that require the expenditure of effort/time and $$$. shadroch
Many books have low census numbers, not because they are rare but rather because they aren't worth slabbing. It can be confusing for the newcomer. StillOnly25Cents, KCOComics and SSSnake
revat
Treat it like math and financial analysis. Take the data and do your own projections and estimates and see if they meet up with your profit criteria. The more time you put into learning and analysis, the better decisions you’ll make. of course that also means you might put in a bunch of time to find out you won’t make much money
marvelmaniac
To properly answer this question, we need to know what your plans are for the books. Are you planning on selling them, keeping them but want them properly preserved and, what is the FMV for these books in their particular grade? If you would like an estimate of grade, open a thread in the... https://boards.cgccomics.com/forum/42-hey-buddy-can-you-spare-a-grade/ Post clear pics of the front/rear covers, inside and out and the centerfold, noting if there are interior tears, coupons filled out/missing, pages missing, etc. and pos If you are planning to sell them, then yes, grading could be worthwhile and make it easier to sell, however, you have to figure the cost of grading vs. the FMV of the book. If you are keeping them, slabs do not offer any more protection than Mylar and an Acid Free Board, slabs are not airtight, not UV protected and need to be stored in the same conditions/controlled environment as raw books in Mylites, (temps in the 60 - 70 degree range, humidity at 40%-50%, away from all UV light, away from moisture/water and heat sources, not stored in unfinished/un-climate controlled basements/garages/attics)
