CLOSED - THANKS To ALL! - Surfing Alien's July Birthday Release of the Honey Gold hoard of Vintage Paperbacks
2 2

430 posts in this topic

This is my fourth sales thread on the boards :whatthe:   It's also my birthday week so lots of thoughts of life, liberty and the pursuit of vintage paperbacks in the time we have on this spinning orb :)

I can't keep 'em all so having a lot of fun releasing cool books both old and newer. Lots of high grade and near high grade genre 60's-70's books with the best cover art and plenty of my favorite stuff, the classic publishers from the 1940's-60's Golden Age of vintage paperbacks.

I've been buying selling and trading Vintage pb's since the Hancer Price Guide came out back in the 80's. Been on Ebay since 1998 with 100% positive feedback.

I tend to grade paperbacks in the manner of current pulp grading:  Poor/Fair/Good/Very Good/Fine/Very Fine

I'm a high grade collector so my books are almost all Very Good and better if they're available in those grades. Many pre-1960 books just aren't available in high grade often so I try to find solid Good-Very Good ones if I can.

The rules for this thread are:

-No HoS or Probation list buyers

-I will ship to Canada but will have to quote shipping options.

-Payment via Venmo or Paypal preferred. I also can do Zelle although it is a bit more of a pain to do.

-Shipping via USPS Media Mail for $4 or Priority Small Box for $11 for the continental United States.  More than one book I will ship at the least extra cost practicable. Shipping for Canada will be quoted.

-First :takeit: in the thread wins and prevails over pm offers
-Returns accepted for 14 days after delivery but please let me know asap if you are unhappy for any reason and I will make it right. I do miss things occasionally.

Feel free to pm with offer or questions.  I'm always open to reasonable package offers.

The Vault Of Horror Ballantine U2107  1st Print August 1965  A classic of the group of 1960's Ballantine EC collections in high grade    $40 SOLD to N e r V

Gorgeous copy of a tough Ballantine EC. A must have for Frazetta/EC collectors

Fine Plus/Very Fine minus. Killer glossy copy with no bends or creases. Colors and gloss are blazing. Off white pages. Has some very light edgewear and page toning that keeps it from the highest grade but this is a top of the bill copy that is only slightly below the 70"s Burroughs books I just posted in condition.

Ok. I am being called away so I'll leave this crazy Carter Brown McGinnis cover for sale and resume soon. One of Robert McGinnis's greatest back shots imho.

This is a beauty for any GGA collection. A stunning glossy copy.

EDIT: I was in a rush last night so am updating the info and better pics:

Signet D3297 This is the 4th Printing (with new cover art) undated - probably from 1967     $22 SOLD to crassus

Fine Plus or better condition - Bright colors. Has a couple light finger bends, otherwise just minor wear.

Die Anytime After Tuesday by Carter Brown. Signet P3903 1st Printing June 1969     $15 SOLD to crassus

Fine Plus.  Unread. Killer spine. Bright colors. Very minor surface and edge wear. Downgrading slightly and price- adjusted (literally) for a partially penned-out price in the upper left corner. (95 cents partially covered and a tiny "50" written at top edge - and no, I wish I paid 50 cents for this copy!)

Another GGA trophy babe with great headlights and great pose by McGinnis. Part time lesbian? If I even put that word in my sales listings on ebay they fly out the door. Vintage lesbian fiction has become the hottest thing I can sell.
