How long does it take for my submission to be sent off for signing, but also do I get notified once it's signed?

It depends and it depends.  
 

Signings are typically 2-6 months after the submission cutoff, and they don’t tell you ahead of time, unless you know for sure the signing is occurring at a specific convention.

You see in the system once it moves to grading phase,  it is still inconsistent as to how long between signing and change in the system.

 

and you have to keep checking your status yourself.

 

so basically if you care keep checking, if you’re scared you can keep contacting cgc yourself or scouring cgc and creator social media.  Best advice (assuming it is initially entered into the system) is to just not think about it again for 8-12 months and let it be a happy surprise when it shows up in your mail, like a gift from your past self to your future self.
