In a Joey Q interview last week:

 

From “Dash-Dot”: “I'm looking forward to spending exorbitant amounts of money on a non-Censored Shanna the She-Devil trade, preferably in hardcover. Are we ever going to see that?”

It's not animated and not porn, so no.

 

Would I rather have this Frank Cho book released as it was intended? Oh yes. I've got a long history of looking at naked people in comics*, I have no interest in stopping now.

 

*one of my real "grails" art wise is a piece by Vaughn Bode yay.gif

I just look forward to art as it was intended, as Mr. React said above. Some of the shots that were covered didn't add to the credibility of the story (not that it's exactly real in the first place). But c'mon, how does a woman fighting dinosaurs manage to keep her top on? I look forward to this, and honestly, I hope they make it a special edition so we can compare the changes...I'd like to see how his "additions" ruined his intentions.

jeeez guys! Cho drew here as practically naked as he could. Do you really need to see a little circle drawn and colored in the middles of them too? I think she'll look silly flopping around the panels...
It's not that I want to see her naked. It's simply the fact that Cho was given the go ahead to draw her as he wanted for a MAX series. Then after a few issues were penciled, he was told to cover her up so they could sell it to more people. That really burns me up. I know comics are where art and consumers/business colide, so I can live with it, but this is a chance to see the story as originally intended. And that, for me, is all I want.

Gimme a break - the entire story is utter trash and certainly nothing that can be 'art worthy of a re-examination using the original nude portrayals". I am certain scholars around the world are eagerly awaiting this new version of the Shanna epic. 27_laughing.gif

 

I wish you comic porn addicts would just step up to the bar and admit why you want to see naked Shanna and her big saggy floppies.

It has nothing to do with scholar. I like Cho's artwork, it's as simple as that. And knowing that he was "forced" to make changes really irks me. And as a fan who appreciates art, whether that be a good movie, good comic art, or Shakespeare, I hope they do a little director's commentary so to speak so we can see the hows and whys of the whole process.
