storage - best way

Hi

I have used the board's advice to put comics in golden age bags and bords. I am wondering, though - do people store their comics upright in boxes, or do they lay them flat? The silver-age bags and boards provide a nice size (for my modern comics), so none of the corners hit the plastic edges.

I have always stored upright. I have smaller cloth bins I use so there are maybe 100 comics together upright (I find in a long box you can end up with pressure on the end books). There are ways to prevent this too if using long boxes.

If laying flat I’ve heard it’s best to alternate so you dont have all of the pressure on the spines of the bottom books. Also stacks can slide easier I feel than if upright.
