Before comics were kept as collectors items, what type of storage or treatment produced comics with White pages today? I am wondering particularly about Gold and Silver age comics.

ex: Maybe the comics were sealed in some type of bag?

 

Also, how much do you care for White pages comics? How much more would you be willing to pay-silver and gold aged?

Some of the best books in existance were never in a bag until the 70s.

 

The key is dry, cool and dark. And if the books are neatly piled so air (oxygen) basically cannot easily intrude into the paper, all the better.
