PGM - FF#49 - Grease pencil price markdown (?) on front cover

I've got a decent FF#49 from my childhood PC that I was about to send in for grading.  My question is about a grease pencil mark on the front cover (see second pic).  There is a big "6" written on the top right of the front cover, which I believe was a price markdown by the newsstand.  I believe this was pretty routine back in the day, but I was wondering how this would affect the potential grade.  In my unprofessional opinion, I believe this book would be around a 6 otherwise.  This book has never been touched.  No cleaning or pressing (yet).  There is some slight tanning on the back cover, but I'm not sure if it worth trying to clean it.  Thoughts?

Officially, CGC says writing can lead to a grade between 4.0-9.8. I have a price markdown book done in what looks like sharpie that is a 4.5 (also has 1 detached staple & other things). The issues along the spine & the tanning & possibly light foxing on the back cover look more indicative of a 5.0/5.5 & I don't think the writing will be a consideration with the grade, especially a price change.

Not that it matters, but this writing looks more like permanent marker than grease pencil to my old eyes.  hm

I was buying comics off the rack during the 10-cent and 12-cent era.  I never stumbled across a newsstand that marked down the price of comics.  Used book/magazine stores?  Yes.  Newsstands?  No, never.  Obviously, I can't say it never happened, but it certainly wasn't routine.

+1

to much color breaking creases and color flaking along that spine to go 6.0 for me.
