His selection is expertly curated and the prices are reasonable in a genre already comparatively reasonable to Pulps and Comics. Paperbacks certainly has it's all star list of ringers, but there is a ton of scarce 40's, 50's, and 60's goodies to choose from. If you're lucky enough to hit the occasional book fair, 200 bucks can get you a real nice stack .... and they are *ahem* a bit addictive. GOD BLESS ...

I wanted the Willie Wonka (... don't tell anyone) and watched it for almost 2 days before it fell to the scythe; sometimes I'm too cautious for my own good. Lowell is an opportunity and a learning process rolled into one. I first started following Pat Calhoun's posts in the Paperback thread. To say my eyes were opened is an understatement. I wish I had known how cheap most of them are back then. I can't remember when the last time I could get a "WOW" type of comic for less than $100. I'm thinking of starting the Paperback thread at page 1 and diving in. I've certainly got time, with my recent health issues. I remember doing that with the Atlas thread and Bangzoom's thread. GOD BLESS ...

That all said, Tonight concludes the "Gasp! 2024" sale. It was a lot of fun sharing and caring. I think everyone should read the paperback thread from page 1, but be warned, it is addictive
