MAD

Hope they have more than 'Mad' as I am not a particular fan. Anyone collect Mad ? Anyone know if there are any good high-lights for January in the normal vein of OA --- last year's Jan was so good ?

The MAD stuff is terrific, especially the early Kurtzman-edited comic-books featuring Bill Elder's art. It's a refreshing change to enjoy something other than the endless array of superheroes and mutant titles. I enjoy that stuff, too, but there's more to strip-illustration than super-hero and super-villain types battling on and on (ad infinitum) for more than half-a-century . . .

I used to own the complete Jack Davis lead-story for MAD # 18, "Alice in Wonderland", but traded it away last year.

Nowadays, I'm mostly into collecting cover originals.

P.S. Are you another incarnation of BS/KK? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif
