Hi all - I'm Chris, and I'm the founder of Nerd Crawler. The original post I made in August 2023 announcing Auctions on Nerd Crawler had a bunch of great art, and I would love to keep posting to it. Unfortunately, I've made a lot of updates to Auctions since then and the announcement post and post title aren't accurate anymore. So, to keep things accurate, I'm going to let that old post fade away and start this new thread announcing the key features of Auctions on Nerd Crawler as well as auctions that just dropped, their current bid price, and when they end.

So first, what are the new key features of Auctions on Nerd Crawler? 

• Auction on Nerd Crawler -- no monthly subscription needed! Everyone said they would rather pay a small % fee to list auctions instead of having to pay a monthly subscription. So, I made it happen! Now, as long as you're approved to list auctions, you can do so! To learn more about Auctioning and applying for auction verification, visit the Seller page
• Buy, Sell, Checkout on NC: Now you can sell, handle payments, and get paid directly on Nerd Crawler. Our seller fees (2-4% depending on membership plan) are much lower than the 6.5-20% from eBay, Heritage, and the other guys so you can make more for your art and pay less in fees. • Escrow with Nerd Crawler: If Nerd Crawler was going to take a fee from transactions, I wanted to provide actual value so I’ve also launched Escrow with Nerd Crawler. If an order uses Escrow, buyers will now deposit funds into Escrow before the seller ships their order. With Escrow, I wanted to remove the fear of scammers so that buyers can buy and sellers can sell with confidence. To learn more about how Escrow on Nerd Crawler works, click here. I also kept the option to work directly with the buyer to handle payment and delivery to remove the Escrow fee, but because there is more risk, a Pro membership is required. 

Okay so that's all the new stuff, let's get on to the newest auctions on Nerd Crawler for this weekend!

First up is a Power Girl sketch cover by Frank Cho for his next weekly auction that he's running exclusively on Nerd Crawler. If you didn't know, Frank is raising funds for a new house and is dropping a loose sketch or sketch cover for auction every Thursday (roughly). Next up, is a Joker sketch by Eduardo Risso (100 Bullets). The piece measures 5.5 x 8.5 inches and the current bid is just $22, which is an absolute steal! And last, but certainly not least, is an early Daniel Warren Johnson page from The Ghost Fleet #6. There was some confusion about swiping to bid even if you’re the current highest bidder.

So, to make this right for everyone, I added a feature where you cannot swipe to bid or add a custom bid if you’re the current highest bidder, but you can make and adjust your max bid. And then the seller agreed to relist it for a shorter time and let everyone have a fair chance.

It’s been a fun journey building NC and each new feature is built on the feedback of the community so if anyone ever has any idea please let me know!
