While Murder Waits by John Esteven  Popular Library No. 343   1951     $25

Real nice copy of a "Killer" Belarski cover

Square, tight and glossy with a faint reader crease and a little indent to back spine area.

Somewhere in this House  by Rufus King  Popular Library No. 276   1950     $25

Another nice "Killer" Belarski cover, switchblade this time.

Tight and glossy. Has slight slant, a very faint reader crease and very light wear. A gorgeous cover

Just of interest:  HA just completed an auction of some original pulp illustration art.  I missed it (but probably wouldn't have pulled the trigger anyway).  These are the two I really wanted.

Thanks for the "takes" (thumbsu I followed the auction closely because there was so much top notch material for the market to absorb, I hoped there might be a bargain or two among the lowly paperback cover art. There wasn't. Reefer Girl didn't surprise me, that is the most I've ever seen for a sleaze paperback cover OA. The study for it sold for 20K years ago so this was in the range where I expected it to be.  Quite a few of the pb covers went far beyond estimates, the Raders and a couple of lesbian themed doing particularly well.

Maybe it's time to sell my undercopy of "Reefer Girl" hm

I'm going to try to get through more books today than I did yesterday, so I'm going to take the tack I do on cheapie threads and just do 1 pic on anything $20 and under (except a Double cover)  and try to keep the descriptions down. I'll note any glaring defects on the back and of course will provide more pics if anyone asks.
