We lean toward thinking this one is a comp copy but not 100% certain. It’s awful nice to have sat in a dealer box for years. More likely a comp with that gloss. Joe was plucking his comps from a wire rack; I’m surprised there’s not more like this in my sample. Russ Heath cover for Atlas, and I thought they were somewhat undergraded at FVF. On second glance, they may be right, but VF minus also possible I think. Only two on census, and both are comps: 5.5 slightly brittle sold for $204 in 2023; 8.5 (which I think used to be an 8.0) sold $1320 in March. This is between the two.
