BATMAN 142 -144 1 1

Heya guys and gals.........I have the original batman 142 - 144 joker 'year one', and am aware of a 2nd print for the 3 issue's, though i can only find a 3rd printing for issues 142. Did they only do a 3rd print on 142, and miss out producing a 3rd print for 143 and 144?

MyComicShop lists only a 2nd printing on #143 and #144

I don't know if they 'missed out', but it looks like right now just 142 has a 3rd print, as you've stated.  

I think theoretically by normal timing, there's still a chance 144 gets a 3rd print.  There are also rare instances where later printings come a little bit later still for whatever reason.

as stated by the previous poster, a good place to check is mycomicshop.  Another place I like to check is midtown comics.

LOKKING AT EBAY, i HAVE SHOWN BLELOW CASES OF 2ND AND 3RD PRINT OF BATMAN 142. 1ST PICTURE 3RD AND 2ND IS THE 2ND PRINT. APART THE DIFFERENCE IN GREEN, IS THERE SOMETHING ELESE ON THE COVER THAT SHOWCASES WHAT PRINT IS WHICH? I WOULD ASSUME THERE WOULD BE SOMETHING ON THE FIRST PAGE.........

Very generally, the last number of barcode (over the smaller bars) indicates the print.

The three at the end, would indicate 3rd print.

ok...it's getting weird. People on ebay list 'all 2nd prints for batman 142 - 144 ( in fact there are 3 on ebay right now ), but all 142's are 3rd printing, and have been looking daily and cant find a 2nd print of 142 anywhere...............

I thought this was the 2nd print, and then the 3rd print matches the cover of the 1st but with a new color scheme:

If comics don't explicitly say 2nd or 3rd print on them, its really easy to get reprints mixed up, especially in the modern age of 1000's of variants.

Not everyone understands the barcode, the barcode isn't always consistent, some people don't care to look at the barcode, and some people don't care at all either way, especially on ebay.

That's correct. A lot of subsequent printings actually don't have covers that match the 1st print.
